The Pulsar 200F, which tops the list of most successful motorcycles in Nepal due to its muscular and sporty design, was earlier being sold in two variants. The company had been selling the ABS variant at Rs 3,34,900 and the non-ABS variant at Rs 3,16,900.

The Pulsar 220, which Hanshraj Hulaschand & Company Pvt. Ltd. has been selling for the past 11 years, will now be available only in ABS variant.

“Customers were not interested in the non-ABS variant as soon as the ABS variant came out, so now it will be available only in the 220F ABS variant,” a company source said.

Under the Dashain scheme introduced by the company, customers who want to buy Pulsar 220 will get a discount of Rs 10,000 when they buy it in cash and customers who buy it with 50 percent down payment will get zero percent interest rate when they buy the remaining amount in 17 installments.

The company has been providing 24-month installment loan at 16 percent interest rate to the customers who are preparing to buy a motorcycle by paying 20 or 35 percent down payment.

The Pulsar 220F is powered by a 220 cc DTSI, oil cooled, single cylinder engine. Its engine produces 21 PS of power at 8500 rpm and 19.12 Nm of torque at 7000 rpm. Its engine is fitted with a five-speed gearbox.

Power, design and comfort are considered to be the key to its success. As all these three things are the choice of the youth, Pulsar 220 has been successful in Nepal. The top speed of this motorcycle is 134 kilometers per hour. Its seat height is 795 mm.

The 155 kg bike has a ground clearance of 165 mm and a 15 liter capacity fuel tank.
