How to apply for a National ID Of Nepal? The crowd has increased in the passport department after the electronic passport was made mandatory for National ID and e-passports. The increase in the number of people in the passport department is due to the provision of applying for e-passports only in limited districts. The department has so far made arrangements for live enrollment for e-passports from 53 districts.
The government has been distributing electronic passports in place of machine-readable passports since November 2021. National identity card has been made mandatory for e-passport. How to apply for a passport?

Five thousand has been fixed as per the pre-determined fee for a 34-page passport when applying to the District Administration Office.
Applying for a 66-page passport will cost the department 20,000 rupees. There is a separate fee for taking passports from diplomatic missions abroad. Different revenue will have to be paid in case of loss, torn and child under 10 years of age.

The department has stated that passports will be provided in all three districts of Kathmandu Valley within a week. The department claims that passports will be provided within 15 days in the districts around Mahendra Highway outside Kathmandu and in the districts with air facilities. How to apply for an electronic passport
