Yamaha’s best-selling FZS V3 and TVS’s 160 v4 are the two main competing motorcycles in Nepal. These are the second best selling motorcycle in the 150cc segment after the Bajaj Pulsar 150. Here is some comparison between TVS Apache 160 4V vs Yamaha FZS FI V3 .

There is a fierce collision between these two motorcycles which have many similar features. Recently, TVS has released a new version of RTR 160 4V in Nepal and the competition has become more competitive.

The new variant brought by TVS with ABS and Smart Connect feature is now in the news.

The differences between the FZS V3 and the RTR 160 Four V are as follows.

Engine

The Yamaha FZS V3 has a 149 cc single cylinder, air cooled, FI engine. The engine generates 12.2 bhp of power at 7250 rpm and 13.6 Nm of torque at 5500 rpm. This motorcycle is equipped with a 5 speed gearbox.

The TVS Apache RTR 160 Four V has a 159.7 cc single cylinder, oil cooled carburetor engine. This engine generates 16 bh of power and 14 Nm of torque. The motorcycle is equipped with a 5-speed gearbox.

Fuel / Mileage

The Yamaha FZS V3 is powered by a 12.8-liter tank. Similarly, RTR 160 Four V has a 12 liter fuel tank.

In terms of mileage, the company claims that the FZS V3 has a mileage of 45 kilometers and the RTR 160 FourV has a mileage of 35 kilometers per liter.

Breaking

Both these motorcycles have double discs. The TVS RTR 160 Four V has 270mm disc brakes on the front and 200mm on the rear. Yamaha has 282mm disc brakes on the front and 220mm on the rear. Both the motorcycles have single channel ABS system available.

Suspension

Both motorcycles have telescopic suspension on the front and 7-step adjustable monocross on the rear of the Yamaha and monosax suspension on the TVS.

Both the motorcycles use 17-inch alloy wheels.

Price

The TVS RTR 160 Four V ABS version is priced at Rs 35,900. Similarly, the price of Yamaha FZS V3 is Rs 323,900.

Both these motorcycles have fully digital consoles. RTR 160 Four V has Smart Connect feature. While Yamaha has given FI engine, TVS has given carburetor engine.

Both these motorcycles are the best motorcycles in this segment. Yamaha is popular for its mileage and comfort, while RTR is popular for its power and smart connect.
